How can you reduce NSIs by 25%, when the RCN reports suggest that less than 10% of NSI’s are in any way related to the Sharps Container?

Our peer review study conducted across the globe in 2006 found that use of the Sharpsmart system provided significant reductions in sharps injuries in comparison to 10 alternate sharps container brands. The reductions found were as follows: • Total sharps injuries reduced by 32.7% • Container related sharps injuries reduced by 86.6% • Non container related sharps injuries reduced by 25.7% Sharpsmart can achieve such reductions - not only because of the patented features and safety engineered nature of our containers, but because our system incorporates extensive education to frontline staff on how to avoid NSIs and how to correctly segregate waste. In addition to this, we also provide an ongoing programme of onsite and container audits to identify potential risks and hazards that may result in injury, allowing us to re-educated customers and provide continuous improvement in relation to safety.
